Peter Carey - A Long Way From Home

March 14, 2018 - 1:00pm

Ravenna

The first author in our Spring Literary Luncheon series is the two-time Man Booker Prize winning author of Oscar and Lucinda and True History of the Kelly Gang.

Peter Carey's latest, A Long Way from Home, gives us a wildly exuberant, wily new story that circumnavigates 1954 Australia, revealing as much about the country/continent as it does about three audacious individuals who take part in the infamous 10,000-mile race, the Redex Trial.

Third Place Commons Game Night

March 14, 2018 - 6:00pm

Lake Forest Park

Join the fun with a group that meets every Wednesday evening to play a variety of board & card games. Most games last less than 90 minutes so we can enjoy a change of pace. Bring a game you like to play or a new one you want us to try out together.

Game Night convenes in the Stadler Room on the first Wednesday of the month, and at tables in the Commons the rest of the month. Come join the fun!

Leslye Walton - Price Guide to the Occult

March 14, 2018 - 7:00pm

Lake Forest Park

In conversation with Lish McBride (Pyromantic; Firebug; Hold Me Closer, Necromancer)

From the author of The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender comes a haunting maelstrom of magic and murder in the lush, moody Pacific Northwest.
