Momentary Illumination of Objects In Motion is the debut short story collection by Jason Arias that explores the topics of life and death, race and identity, change and resistance to change. They are stories of growth, both in the moment and over a lifetime.

There Is No Other Way to Worship Them is an eerie, mesmerizing collection of nine interwoven short stories set in Mexico and Texas. Characters and landscapes slip from one story to the next as they explore themes of violence, mysticism and failures in the pursuit of love.

Samuel Snoek-Brown is the author of the borderland story collection There Is No Other Way to Worship Them, the Civil War novel Hagridden, and two flash-fiction chapbooks. He’s the recipient of a 2013 Oregon Literary Fellowship and has been shortlisted in the Faulkner-Wisdom competition, twice for short fiction and once for his novella. He was also a finalist in the 2013 storySouth Million Writers Award. He teaches and writes in the Pacific Northwest.
